Spoken By The Sea

Come one, come all to Spoken by the Sea, an open mic night. 

Whether you're a seasoned performer or a first-time poet, we invite you to share your words on the theme of autumn. Not up for sharing? No problem. You're welcome to come along just to listen.

Our headline poet for the evening is  Sadie Hennessy 

Sadie is a visual artist who originally trained as a writer with a degree in Writing for Theatre from Dartington College of Arts. She went on to get an MA in Fine Art at Central St Martins, where her work often incorporated text. She is currently interested in using writing as a starting point for creating visual artworks and recently made a short video called 'A Work of Friction' based on some writing about discomfort.

We'll be providing the space and the support, so all you have to do is show up and be creative. Bring your poems, stories, songs, or anything else that comes to mind.
