About the event

The Little Green Bookshop invites you to an evening of poetry, conversation and live performance to celebrate the release of A Day in The Life of Nathan Jake (Incomplete).

Grand Poetry Slam Champion Jake Nathan joins author and poet Barney Harsent for an in-conversation event exploring poems, process and publication. A producer, rapper and multiple slam champion — currently the undisputed Kent Poetry Champion — Jake’s work blends rhythm and rhetoric with striking precision. His poems have featured on BBC Radio Kent and the Word Spoken podcast, and his writing explores themes of class, social justice and mental health with power, honesty and musicality.

The evening will also feature readings from Jaime Greer and Sarah Ogilvie.

Jaime Greer is a seaside poet and spoken word artist from the Kent coast, as well as a mental health social worker in the education sector. Her debut collection, One Last Wave, will be published this year…
